Jordan Wheeler

The City Manager’s Office carries out the City Council’s policy decisions and direction, provides leadership and guidance to department heads and staff, and collaborates with both Council and employees to develop action plans and programs that advance Council goals and community priorities.

The City of Sisters operates under a council–manager form of government, in which the City Council appoints the City Manager, who is responsible for the City’s administrative operations and the supervision of appointed staff.

The City's current City Manager is Jordan Wheeler who was appointed to the position in 2023. Jordan has nearly two decades of experience working for local governments in Oregon. Prior to coming to Sisters, Jordan was previously the City Manager in Sandy, Oregon, and he served as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Lake Oswego. Jordan holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Portland State University, and Bachelors degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Washington.
