Sisters, Oregon, incorporated April, 1946, is a charming little town with a population of 1925. Sisters' commercial district has developed an 1880's western town with many unique shops, galleries, and eating establishments. Our little town hosts over 300 businesses. People come to shop with the beautiful Three Sisters Mountains looming in the background. We have hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, fishing, golfing, and sightseeing within minutes from downtown. A touch of our history provided by the Friends of the Sisters Library and the Deschutes County Historical Society.

Scenic Highway 20 goes right through our town and the McKenzie Pass ends here too. We are 20 miles west of Bend, 109 miles east of Salem, and 100 miles north east of Eugene.

City Hall will be closed on Monday February 15, 2010 in observance of President's Day

On February 11, 2010, at 5:30 p.m., in the City of Sisters Library Conference Room (110 N Cedar Street, Sisters, Oregon), the Sisters Urban Area Planning Commission will hold a public hearing regarding the adoption of an ordinance amending the City of Sisters Development Code as contained within file Text Amendment 08-02 (TA 08-02).

The City of Sisters, Oregon is seeking written proposals from banking or financial institutions for banking and investment services. Proposals must be mailed or hand delivered no later than 2:00 p.m. on January 29, 2010. Please visit our RFP Page for additional information.

The City of Sisters and Cascades East Transit announce the opening of a new public transportation shuttle connecting Sisters and Redmond. The shuttle offers 4 round-trips/day, and provides access to all locations in Redmond, with connections to Bend, LaPine, Prineville, and Madras/Metolius/Culver.
