Welcome to the City of Sisters Utility Billing Department

The City provides water, sewer, and garbage utilities to its residents. The Finance Department staff handles the billing, payment services, and maintenance for estimated 1,200 customer accounts. The City of Sisters utility bills are mailed out by the end of the month and payment is due by the 10th of the each month.

Utility Rate Increase - Effective July 1, 2009

The Sisters City Council adopted a resolution establishing new utility rates effective July 1, 2009.

As part of the City Sisters’ proposed FY 09/10 budget, water fees will increase by 20%, sewer fees will decrease by 8.5% and the volume rate will increase by 20.0%. These rate adjustments are necessary to enable the utility to remain self-supporting while having adequate funds to maintain and upgrade the City infrastructure that supports the water and sewer utilities. For an average rate payer, the base rate adjustments will remain at neutral. The last water rate increase was in 1994 and sewer was set in 2000.

Please be advised that the new rates will be in effect on the July, 2009 utility bill. A summary of the new monthly rates is noted below:
