City Recorder

The office of the City Recorder is responsible for:

• Taking minutes of all meetings for the City Council and ad-hoc committees.
  
• Providing technical support to the City Council and Urban Renewal Agency.
• Preparing and distributing the agendas and public meeting packets for the City Council and Urban Renewal Agency.
• Maintaining all official records of the city.
• Responding to public requests for information.
• Conducting municipal elections for Sisters.
• Providing administrative support to the City Manager, Mayor and City Council.

City Council Agenda
City Council agenda’s are available by noon on Monday, prior to the regular scheduled Council meeting. The City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 520 E. Cascade Avenue, Sisters, unless otherwise noted.

City Council Workshops
City Council meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 8:00 a.m. at City Hall in conference room B, unless otherwise noted. City Council meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall in conference room B unless otherwise noted.

Public Records Request
Requests for public records are made to the City Recorder, who is the custodian of the City’s records. Requests should be in writing and be as specific as possible. Requests for single copies of readily available information can be made with a simple phone call. The City can charge for copies and may if the request is large which requires more than then minimal time for City Hall staff time to locate and/or produce copies. The Public Records Request Form provides details on the procedure and costs.

Municipal Code
The Sisters Municipal Code contains all of the documents adopted by the Sisters City Council. You can view the Sisters Municipal Code online, or review hard copies at City Hall.
